living life yellow.
the ramblings of a 21 year old
I have literally tried everything and I still cannot sleep.
Insomnia has been something that I have picked up this year, since my major flare up. I find I'm so exhausted during the day but by the time bedtime comes, I am so wide awake. A lot of the time I'm in too much pain to sleep as well. Sleep is something that I don't do well only having a little bit of too. Anything under 6 hours and I'm going to have nightmare of a day. As I have mentioned in previous blogs, I don't cope well without sleep.
A usual night for me:
I usually start to put my phone and laptop down at 7pm and then watch a little bit of tv. I tend to get into bed at about 8pm because by then I feel so exhausted that I have to be. I take my medications and put my headphones in and listen to a couple of podcasts. I tend to get a little sleepy and will sleep for about an hour but then I wake up again. Once I wake up again, there is no going back to sleep. I listen to podcast after podcast trying to wind myself back down. I try other things (will make a list of things I have tried to help my sleep below.) But no sleep until about 6/7am when I fall asleep for a few hours or I will sleep through till the afternoon; stuffing up my sleeping pattern once again.
Things I have tried to help me sleep:
The lack of sleep is one of the most frustrating things as I am very tired, I just can't sleep. I'm very over feeling miserable all the time because I'm just so tired.
