the ramblings of a 21 year old
December has already been a very exciting month for me and I have a couple of announcements to make!
I AM HAVING MY SURGERY ON THE 21ST OF DECEMBER!
Yes, I finally have a date for my third laparoscopy! On the 21st of this month I will be going in for my excision surgery. I am feeling both nervous and excited about this. I am hoping that all will go well and that I will be out of hospital in time for Christmas :D
I AM NO LONGER UNEMPLOYED!
I resigned from my job in August due to the pain I was experiencing with my endo. I reached out to Endometriosis NZ asking if they had any career opportunities a few months ago. After a few interviews, I am proud to say that I will be a "ME Educator," in 2018! This is a job wear I will be going into schools and educating students about endometriosis. It was through this programme that I first became aware of endometriosis and discovered that I fit all the symptoms. I think it is a valuable resource for schools and that by educating students, it will help early detection of endometriosis and reduce the diagnosis time. I am so excited to start my training in January.

Overall I am very excited about December in general. This month is a busy month catching up with friends and going to events. Many of my talented friends are graduating from their different course so I am so proud of all of them. I can't wait to catch up with some people I haven't seen in months.
I have been trying to be super festive as I love everything Christmas-y. Leo and I baked and iced gingerbread biscuits. I made a sparkly pink and blue, bauble wreath which took a wee while, but was super therapeutic. We have even decorated our room with fairy lights. I love the lead up to Christmas probably more than I love Christmas!
